Chef Kunal Kapur’s ‘Pincode’ debuts in Abu Dhabi

Signature dishes include the slow-cooked Dal Makhni, Chettinad Chicken, and the regionally inspired Sindhi Dal Pakwan

Chef Kunal Kapur has taken his acclaimed culinary concept, Pincode, to Abu Dhabi, unveiling a new outlet at The Galleria Mall, Al Maryah Island. Pincode offers a modern interpretation of traditional recipes, infused with nostalgia and innovative flair.

Inspired by handwritten family recipes and his travels, Chef Kapur brings India's lesser-known flavours to Abu Dhabi’s cosmopolitan dining scene. Signature dishes include the slow-cooked Dal Makhni, Chettinad Chicken, and the regionally inspired Sindhi Dal Pakwan. Playful creations like the Spiral Chaat and Saag Burrata elevate classics, while dishes like Kothey Momo celebrate India's vibrant culinary tapestry.

The beverage menu is equally imaginative, with mocktails that reimagine regional ingredients. Standouts include the Nubra, featuring Ladakhi apricots, and the Varanasi Ghat, a tangy blend of tamarind and watermelon. These drinks offer a sensory journey across India, capturing its rich diversity in every sip. Pincode’s ambience is a masterpiece of design by Chetana Vij and Vikram Sharma from IDAG, blending traditional Indian craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics. A vibrant palette of saffron, indigo, ruby, and emerald reflects India’s heritage, while curated artefacts and intricate woodwork create a warm, multicultural atmosphere.

Chef Kunal Kapur, a global Culinary icon and the founder of Pincode, excitedly states, “I’m absolutely thrilled to be expanding the Pincode family to the stunning city of Abu Dhabi. The energy and diversity of this city are infectious, and I can’t wait to share our passion for Indian cuisine with the people here.”

With plans to expand to Goa, Mohali, and beyond, Pincode continues its mission to spotlight India’s rich culinary heritage.
