Taj Holiday Village Resort & Spa and Taj Fort Aguada Resort & Spa are celebrating Onam with a culinary extravaganza, featuring the traditional Saadya, a sumptuous vegetarian meal served on banana leaves. The celebrations will take place at two venues, Caravela at Taj Holiday Village on September 15 and Kokum Kitchen at Taj Fort Aguada on September 14 and 15. This festive occasion highlights Kerala's rich culinary heritage, symbolising unity and abundance.
The preparation of each dish is led by Chef Dibyendu Roy and Chef Somnath Rakesh, ensuring authentic flavours and traditional presentation using banana leaves and copper vessels. The dining experience is enhanced by the service staff dressed in traditional attire, contributing to the festive atmosphere.
Karnatic music performances during the celebrations further enrich the experience, showcasing cultural heritage. The Saadya symbolises unity and community bonding through shared meals, reflecting the essence of Onam.
