Bengaluru Marriott Whitefield appoints Girish Pawan Kumar Agoor as Director of Engineering

Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield announces the appointment of Girish Pawan Kumar Agoor as its new Director of Engineering. With a distinguished career spanning over 17 years in the hospitality industry, Agoor's impressive track record includes overseeing engineering operations at renowned hotel chains across India.

Notably, he served as the Director of Engineering at the Park Hyatt Chennai from September 2019 on, where he made significant contributions to the hotel's infrastructure and operations.

Beyond his role in supervising critical engineering equipment such as electricity, lifts, and air-conditioning systems, Agoor has earned a reputation for meticulous planning and execution of significant projects. His portfolio includes successful hotel renovations, innovative lighting design changes, and the management of advanced systems such as Building Management Systems (BMS) and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) modifications.

Agoor boasts a Master's degree in Business Administration with a specialisation in Operations from Indira Gandhi National Open University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Instrumentation from Anna University. His professional credentials also include certifications as an Energy Manager from BEE, Lead Auditor for OHSAS 18001, and extensive training in firefighting management.
