ABHISHEK MALIK has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Gravity Global. In his new role, Malik will be leading the business and strategic decisions of the company and will be responsible for implementing the company's initiatives in India and overseas.
During his 18 years in the hospitality industry, Malik has been responsible for managing hotel operations, rooms division and food & beverage verticals of a number of luxury hotels in India.
Malik studied at The Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development and was placed within the Oberoi Hotels & Resorts thereafter.
He began his career at The Oberoi, New Delhi, and went on to work at the Oberoi Rajvilas Jaipur. Malik was part of the opening team of The Leela Palace New Delhi and also worked at the Palladium Hotel in Mumbai--which is now St. Regis Mumbai. He also did a stint at the Fortis Memorial Research Institute Gurgaon. Before Gravity Global, Malik was Director of Operations at JW Marriott in Pune.
With a strong luxury background, Malik has also incorporated the finest standards of luxury hospitality within the healthcare sector at FMRI Gurgaon. He received the Sparkle Guru Award in 2013 by Fortis Healthcare for innovative measures in maintaining the highest quality of housekeeping and infection control practices.
An alumnus of Institute of Hotel Management Chennai, Malik also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Annamalai University, Chidambaram.
