THE GREEN team members of The Orchid Mumbai, Asia’s first Ecotel Hotel carried out a silent rally exhorting the citizens to say no to fire crackers. The rally started from the hotel till Mumbai suburban station, Vile Parle on Saturday morning.
Staff members from various departments also performed a skit, which highlighted the dangers of celebrating Diwali with fire crackers which cause harm to the environment through noise and air pollution.
’We Orchidians have tried our bit to create awareness about the harmful impact on the environment. We request all Mumbaikars to celebrate this festival of lights without causing any harm to the environment,’ said, Varun Sahani, General Manager, The Orchid Mumbai.
