Tata Sampann launches protein-rich vermicelli range in Southern India

Tata Sampann has expanded its offerings in the southern Indian market with a new product line of protein-rich vermicelli. The new range includes three distinct varieties: 'Sorghum Millet Vermicelli,' 'Protein Rich Roasted Vermicelli,' and 'Protein Rich (Seviyan) Vermicelli'. 

Commenting on the launch, Deepika Bhan, President, Packaged Foods (India), Tata Consumer Products, said, "As health consciousness continues to rise, consumers are increasingly seeking nutrition without compromising on flavour. Our range of Roasted, Unroasted, and Millet vermicelli is strategically positioned to cater to these evolving preferences”. The Roasted Vermicelli is crafted without the addition of refined wheat flour (maida), ensuring a high protein content along with dietary fiber. These quick-cooking varieties can be transformed into meals in just 10 minutes, making them suitable for busy consumers. She further noted that “Vermicelli's versatility makes it suitable for meals throughout the day”.
