Experience Japanese dining at 689, The Quorum with live Robata Grill in Gurugram

689 is named after the bamboo skewers used in Robatayaki, which measure 6, 8, and 9 inches, giving the restaurant its distinctive name, "Six Eighty Nine."

The Quorum, India's premier private members' lifestyle club, has introduced Gurugram to its latest culinary venture, 689 (Six Eighty Nine), an all-day Asian dining restaurant featuring a live robata grill. This marks the fifth addition to The Quorum’s F&B portfolio, which already includes exclusive members-only experiences like Coalesce - The Brasserie and Providore - The Bar, as well as open-to-all venues Café Reed in Mumbai and Zila in Hyderabad.

Led by Chef Jayraj Chandani, 689 is a reservations-only restaurant open to non-members, offering a dining journey throughout the day. Guests can start with healthy breakfast options paired with Subko coffee in the morning, followed by flavorful Asian dishes and some desserts during the day, and conclude with a vibrant evening featuring live robata grill dinners and curated cocktails.

Speaking about 689, The Quorum’s Founder & CEO, Vivek Narain said, “689 is more than just a dining venue. It's a sensory experience that transports guests through the vibrant and diverse flavours of Southeast Asia. This experience is brought to life with a design that seamlessly combines modern aesthetics with the charm of the Orient. We are excited about 689. It has the potential to become one of Gurugram’s most preferred destinations for Asian cuisine.”

The menu, crafted by Chef Jayraj, celebrates the rich culinary traditions of Southeast Asia. It features a mix of classic favourites like Banh Mis, Dan Dan Noodles, and Nasi Goreng, alongside signature dishes such as ‘Wok Hei’ Pastas, Gochugaru Fish & Chips, and Flame-Kissed Avocado. The restaurant’s live kitchen adds an immersive element, evoking the bustling night markets of the East. The restaurant also offers a selection of signature cocktails, including the Saketini, Six80Nin-Tini, and Lion City Zest, designed to complement the Asian-inspired cuisine.
