Tamara Leisure Experiences inaugurated Lilac Hotels Guruvayur, the brand's first property in Kerala and its third in the state, on September 21. Located just 550 meters from Guruvayur Temple, the hotel is designed to meet the increasing demand for comfort in spiritual tourism.
The event was attended by several local dignitaries, including M B Rajesh, Minister for Local Self Governments, and Dr V K Vijayan, Chairman of Guruvayur Devaswom.
During the inauguration, Shruti Shibulal, CEO and Director of Tamara Leisure Experiences, highlighted the significance of the new hotel and said "Lilac Hotels Guruvayur holds immense personal significance and remains strategically important to Tamara’s long-term vision of expansion in the spiritual tourism sector. We are committed to furthering our presence in Kerala, while also expanding nationally and internationally."
Shibulal highlighted the booming wedding tourism industry in Guruvayur, referencing the remarkable record of 334 weddings in a single day at the Guruvayur Temple, earlier in September. She emphasised the hotel's commitment to being at the heart of this growing trend, offering unparalleled services and facilities to cater to the increasing demand for memorable wedding experiences.
The company plans to expand the Lilac Hotels brand further, with upcoming projects in Tamil Nadu and additional properties in Kerala and North India.
