Taj Coromandel in Chennai kicked off the festive season with its annual Christmas Cake Mixing Ceremony, celebrating both the holiday tradition and the iconic Taj brand’s 120th anniversary. Guests and associates joined hands to mix 1,000 kilograms of dry fruits, nuts, and spices, symbolising warmth and goodwill. The mixture was infused with 250 litres of spirits, preparing for the hotel’s holiday treats.
Sharing his thoughts on this occasion, Ronald Menezes, Hotel Manager, Taj Coromandel, Chennai said, “It was a fun-filled evening at Taj Coromandel, Chennai as we came together to mix all the ingredients during the traditional cake mixing ceremony, setting the stage for a season of celebration and joy. This year’s cake-mixing ceremony was particularly special as it celebrated Taj’s incredible 120-year journey. The carefully prepared mixture will be sealed in airtight casks and used later to create indulgent treats for the upcoming festive season.”
The ceremony featured a delightful array of festive bites and cakes, including Dundee Cake, Lemon Butter Cream Cake, and Almond Cake. Guests enjoyed indulgent desserts such as Pistachio Torte, Plum Pudding, and Yule Logs. A dedicated fondue station, premium cheese selections, and takeaway gifts of Plum Cake added to the celebrations.
