THE TRAVEL Agents Federation of India (TAFI) has announced the new Managing Committee for 2018-2020. Praveen Chugh will continue to lead Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) as its President for another term. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Federation held in Delhi last week decided to continue with the existing leadership for another term. Pradeep Lulla, Aditi Bhende and Jayesh Tharani thus continue as Vice President, General Secretary and Treasurer, of TAFI.
Chugh said that TAFI will continue to pursue its unfinished agenda on GST, Transaction Fee, etc. with the government. He said that the priority before TAFI and its leadership is to help and support membership conduct their business at minimal cost of operations.
According to him TAFI will continue to pursue the case of Transaction Fee with the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) and airline operators. He said that although transaction fee has been legalised by the court, none of the international carriers has so far implemented it saying that it will increase their workload. MoCA has to interfere to make airlines comply with it, he said.
