SLC International Airport tops in the US and ranks eighth worldwide

The airport offers a blend of modern design, cutting-edge technology and amenities

Salt Lake City International Airport has been ranked eighth in the world and secured the top spot in the United States for airport excellence. This recognition highlights SLC's commitment to innovation and superior service in the aviation industry.

Since the grand opening of The New SLC Phase 1, the airport has consistently added to its services and amenities, setting a high standard in the global aviation landscape. Phase 3 of the rebuild project is set to open on October 22, 2024, with Phase 4 scheduled to open in 2025 and 2026, further enhancing the travel experience for passengers.

The airport offers a blend of modern design, cutting-edge technology and thoughtful amenities. This combination provides both leisure and business travellers with an inviting and efficient airport experience.

In addition SLC recently announced the final selection of 12 new restaurants and retail shops as part of The New SLC-Phase 4, these new concessions are the final pieces of The New SLC Redevelopment Program, promising to further elevate the airport's offerings. It will include a 16-gate extension of Concourse B to the east. This expansion will enhance SLC's capacity and ability to serve a growing number of passengers, continuing its tradition of excellence.

“The new airport is continually recognised as having one of the best concession programs in the country, which we have worked hard to achieve. In keeping with the theme of The New SLC, many of the brands and concepts selected are Utah-based to highlight the unique flavour of the state,” stated Bill Wyatt, Executive Director of the Salt Lake City Department of Airports.
