Six Senses announce properties in Japan and Grenada

The properties include Six Senses Kyoto and Six Senses La Sagesse located in premier destinations

Six Senses has announced its new property in Japan’s historic Higashiyama district blending modern luxury with the rich traditions of Kyoto. The property offers 81 rooms and suites, each presenting views of a central courtyard, gardens of the Toyokuni Shrine and the city skyline. The hotel’s architecture and interiors draw deep inspiration from Japanese folklore and the classic literary work, The Tale of Genji.

Six Senses Kyoto is dedicated to wellness and sustainability, the Six Senses Spa integrates the calming principles of Japanese Zen culture with cutting-edge wellness treatments, including a Watsu pool, a biohacking recovery lounge, and traditional onsen-style bathhouses.

It also features extraordinary culinary experiences, the all-day dining restaurant Sekki takes guests on a journey through Japan's 24 micro-seasons, while the sushi restaurant offers an exquisite omakase experience. The menus at the hotel focus on locally sourced and seasonal ingredients.

Six Senses also announced the opening of Six Senses La Sagesse, located at La Sagesse Beach in Grenada, it offers a new level of tropical luxury. The resort is a haven for those seeking both adventure and relaxation. It features a collection of private villas and suites, each designed to immerse guests in the natural beauty.

The resort is committed to wellness which incorporates local traditions and ingredients. Guests can indulge in a range of therapies inspired by Grenada’s rich heritage, including the use of spices like nutmeg and cinnamon. It also features a yoga pavilion, outdoor meditation spaces, and a fitness centre.

It also showcases the island’s culinary traditions with the signature restaurant using locally sourced produce and fresh seafood. Guests can enjoy farm-to-table dining experiences, with ingredients harvested from the resort’s organic gardens.

The location of the property offers easy access to some of the island’s most iconic attractions, including the Grand Etang National Park and the Underwater Sculpture Park. It also offers guests a gateway to marine adventures, with opportunities for snorkelling, diving, and sailing.
