With expertise in national and international hotel operations, Narendra Prabhu, General Manager Signature Club Resort has over 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
“I was associated with Accor Group of Hotels in Sydney for a span of 6 years in Mid-level management. I am specialized in Hotel and Project management, Hotel and resort operations and Revenue management,” he told us.
Prabhu a graduate from the University of Western Sydney, believes in democratic leadership, effective teamwork, and communication. Speaking about his journey with the current property he said, “My top management does not believe in micro managing their team members, this gives me encouragement and opportunity to take ownership of my job and responsibilities and try innovative yet effective solutions for every situation that is thrown at me,” he said.
According to Prabhu, the Signature Club Resort’s proximity to the Airport is an opportunity to accommodate transit and layover passengers and being located in Aeropolitan development the Club Resort caters to all segments of the market. “We are first of its kind Club Resort with a blend of city hotels services and resorts facilities. Our international standard sports arena gives us the competitive edge over our competitors. Our 10,000 Sq.ft open lawn can cater to MICE segment and destination weddings,” he said.
To compete with other brands in his sector, Prabhu stated that the Club Resort has carefully designed its pricing strategy, “we have an efficient revenue manager who analyses market demand and modifies our bar on an hourly basis. Providing value for money is our primary focus to retain our guests and we make it happen through constant and regular operational audits and training,” he said.
The major chunk of revenue at Signature Club Resort is generated from corporate segment followed by retail, “we concentrate to accommodate all needs and requirement of corporates. We design packages and offers in order to retain them. Recently we have included adventure sports & activities like, Bubble soccer, Zip line, Rappelling, Paint ball in our unique day away packages,” he said.
Prabhu added that The Signature Club Resort is focusing on adding up an additional inventory of 160 rooms, with pillar less banquet halls and specialty food and beverage outlets, “This addition will tremendously help us to serve to big wedding groups and MICE events. We also be able to allot a portion of inventory specifically for Airline crews, which will help us to maintain a base occupancy percentage of 40 percent even on lean days,” he said.
