ONYX Hospitality Group launches roadshows in India to engage tourism market

Expanding its presence to additional urban centres, the Group is strategically focussing on the corporate and MICE segments

ONYX Hospitality Group is all set to launch a significant roadshow across India from July 22 to July 26, 2024. The roadshow will travel through Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai, aiming to connect with the rapidly expanding Indian tourism market, which is among ONYX’s top five globally.

India, at present, stands as the fourth largest market for ONYX Hospitality Group, with Indian travellers favouring properties like Amari, OZO, Oriental Residence and Shama. This roadshow is designed to highlight ONYX’s diverse offerings, especially their Thai properties, which are popular among Indian travellers.

The Indian tourism market is on a significant upward trajectory. Reports from Booking.com and McKinsey predict that by 2030, Indian travellers will be the fourth largest spenders globally on tourism, with expenditures estimated to reach US $410 billion. This projection marks a dramatic increase from the US $150 billion spent in 2019, highlighting the growing importance of catering to this market with tailored offerings and exceptional service.

During the roadshow, ONYX will showcase properties, facilities and locations that appeal specifically to Indian travellers. Recognising their love for shopping, ONYX highlights properties like Amari Bangkok, Amari Pattaya and OZO Pattaya, all situated near major shopping hubs. These locations offer a blend of convenience, excitement and luxury, catering to leisure and business travellers alike.
