Kamakhya Singh has joined JW Marriott Bengaluru as Director Food and Beverage, moving from The Westin Chennai Velachery. With over 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Singh started his career at JW Marriott Mumbai followed by stints in Hong Kong with Gaylord Indian Restaurant, CSRL and the Bayside Brasserie, CSRL. These were followed by positions held in Mumbai at the Renaissance Hotel Mumbai and Convention Centre and The Westin Mumbai Garden City till 2011. Singh then moved to Azerbaijan to join the JW Marriott Absheron Baku as Director of Restaurants and subsequently the Director of Event Management. He returned to India in 2013 to join The Westin Pune Koregaon Park as Food & Beverage Manager and then moved on to The Westin Chennai Velachery in 2015.
Singh is a highly motivating mentor, and thrives on guiding and developing the team to ensure that the F&B services at the hotel are credited as being the best in the city. He upholds the distinction of steering improvement initiatives with focus on streamlining & managing operations with proactive planning, implementing new strategies and steering changes. He is known to have exemplary organizational capabilities and holds the ability to motivate and lead a team that can achieve organizational and financial goals effectively.
Singh has been awarded with certificate on successful completion of the “Guest satisfaction index / Star improvement system and SCE engineering on brand experiences workshops” as well as a certificate after completion of “Training Skill Workshop” by Starwood International. He has successfully completed the “Safe Steps” program by Ecolab and is certified in Food safety training by EHC (Environmental health consultancy).
