JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar Observed ‘Environmental Month 2016’

JW Marriott
Mumbai Sahar has been contributing to the society through its ‘Spirit to Serve
the environment’ initiatives. April being Environmental Awareness Month across
Marriott Hotels, the hotel reinforced its commitment to safeguard the
environment by conducting and participating in various activities like a
plantation drive, PUC drive for guests and associates and reduction of the
consumption of electricity at the property. These activities were conducted
from April 25-30, 2016.

The Environment
Day activities kicked off with a tree planting drive that was held on April 25, at
the property. The following day, on April 26, JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar held a
free PUC drive for their guests and associates to monitor the vehicles for
carbon emissions so as to ensure that they would be friendlier and safer to the
environment. To further maximise the impact of the Environment day activity, the
property also played its part in the conservation of the world’s resources by
reducing the consumption of electricity between April 28-30 April.

Commenting
about the activities, Saeid Heidari, General Manager, JW Marriot Mumbai Sahar, said,
“JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar, since its inception, has stayed committed to keeping
our operations environment friendly. This month we took it a step further by
planning and executing a whole series of eco friendly activities that would be
informative and create awareness amongst our guests and associates. This is our
way of staying true to Marriott’s pledge to give back to the environment.”

These activities were undertaken as a continued commitment towards a
green sustainable future. The business mandate at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar
involves green and environment preservation practices, so observing Environment
Day was only a natural decision.
