A FIRM believer that traveling is not just seeing the world, but rather experiencing it, Monica Suri, General Manager, Jaipur Marriott is a highly enthusiastic and fearless person. She harnesses this ability by working-in for well-being through her Yoga way of life. At leisure, Suri travels and blogs about her experiences and travel stories to inspire other women travelers.
“Being a women general manager has never come across as a challenge in my Carrier. Hospitality industry is an industry where there is nothing like gender bias, I have always been treated as my counterparts in every step of my professional carrier,” she said.
Suri feels that today, Hotel industry is losing the human touch, “we at Jaipur Marriott are targeting the emotional side of our guests. We are giving them a personal touch and feel which the guest does not expect from a big Hotel chain. In doing this we are able to get a deeper connect with our guests and we become a part of their memories,” Suri said.
Speaking about the digital initiatives at Jaipur Marriott, Suri said, “We have a state of the art website called meetings imagined. In this portal the guests can see and book all their banquet bookings. They can choose the Banquet, menu and the theme all from the comfort of their home.”
Suri is excited about adding a spark in the nightlife of Jaipur city, “We are planning to launch a Disc in Jaipur Marriott which is under construction, but we are planning to launch it within this year. I am really excited to see that how the night life of the city is going to evolve once Jaipur Marriott becomes a part of it,” she said
With an extensive experience of more than 15 years in the hospitality industry, Suri advices young women to listen to their inner voice, “you should not listen to what others are saying but you should listen to yourself and follow your own path. By doing this you would enjoy what you are doing and then your goals will become your life and you will enjoy the process of achieving your goals,” she concluded.
