InterGlobe forays into international hospitality

The newly opened debut properties, Le Grand Hôtel Cayré in Paris and Borneta in Barcelona, exemplify Miiro's commitment to setting new standards in hospitality

InterGlobe Enterprises recently announced the launch of Miiro, a new lifestyle hotel brand with a distinctive collection of individually designed hotels in the heart of Europe’s most vibrant cities, each with its unique culture, history, and attractions. The newly opened debut properties, Le Grand Hôtel Cayré in Paris and Borneta in Barcelona exemplify Miiro's commitment to setting new standards in hospitality.

Derived from the Latin word ‘miro’, meaning ‘I wonder’ and with the double vowel symbolising reflection, Miiro encourages guests to pause, to look around, and to savour every moment. The commitment to individuality extends to every Miiro hotel. No two properties are alike, each one a reflection of its distinct location, inspired by the surrounding neighbourhood, community, and the local architectural style.

InterGlobe has a proven track record of identifying market opportunities and setting new benchmarks for industries. The company believes Miiro will be no exception. By curating ‘Brilliantly Considered Stays’ that deeply connect travellers with local culture, it aims to elevate and redefine the hospitality experience.

Neena Gupta, CEO of Miiro and Executive Director of Group Strategy and International Hospitality at InterGlobe Enterprises, said, “At InterGlobe, we pride ourselves on not just recognising opportunities, but on reshaping industries and Miiro is a testament to this visionary leadership. We believe travel should be a thoughtful journey, not just a stay. Our newly launched Paris and Barcelona hotels mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Miiro as we redefine hospitality through immersive experiences that connect travellers with the heart of each city.”

Le Grand Hôtel Cayré, located in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés quarter, marks the rebirth of the historic Hôtel Cayré, where Parisian artists, writers, and intellectuals once resided. Following a complete renovation the hotel embodies the refined spirit of its surroundings whilst honouring its vibrant creative past. The hotel features 123 elegant rooms and suites that combine Parisian apartment-style interiors with Brilliantly Considered details. The Hotel’s classic French brasserie, Annette and Officine Bac, an exclusive bar are set to become a favourite for guests and locals alike.

The Borneta is in the heart of the vibrant El Born, Barcelona’s most enchanting neighbourhood shaped by a community of artists, boutiques, and history. The hotel features individually designed 92 rooms and suites, taking creative inspiration from the neighbourhood’s warm tones and the city’s rich colour palette. The Hotel also hosts, Volta a lively and atmospheric restaurant with an open-plan kitchen, along with 180º an exclusive cocktail bar with a rooftop terrace offering spectacular views of downtown Barcelona.

Miiro will expand its portfolio with two new properties in 2025. Templeton Garden in London, located in the leafy area of Earl’s Court, will offer 156 rooms, complemented by a cafe-deli, a neighbourhood restaurant, a vibrant bar, and an outdoor F&B experience in an expansive garden oasis. The two hotels in Vienna, with their strategic location boast over 200 rooms, and will be the next destination for Miiro. With further openings planned for 2026, Miiro is poised to expand its footprint significantly.

As part of its external diversification strategy, InterGlobe’s expansion in hospitality outside of India began with the acquisition of hotel properties across several cities in Europe such as London, Paris, Barcelona, Vienna, Hamburg, Gstaad, Amsterdam, Munich, Prague, and Budapest including one hotel in Melbourne. With a mix of properties and independent brands the aim is to convert majority of the properties under the Miiro brand and grow it with newer properties and markets. Location and iconic buildings being fundamental in its acquisition strategy.
