IHG Hotels & Resorts, Luxury & Lifestyle Collection announces new openings

With travel restrictions slowly being lifted in many regions across the world and friends and families able to reunite, many are looking forward to planning those epic adventures which were so long put on ice. IHG Hotels & Resorts have curated some of their most exciting new hotel openings in the next 12 months. 

In America, Hotel Indigo, New York, will be introduced in November 2021 whereas The Kimpton in Midtown will join its sister properties the Kimpton Overland Atlanta Airport Hotel and Kimpton Sylvan Hotel in Buckhead will be expanding the brand’s presence as its third boutique hotel in Georgia’s capital. It will open in 2022. Hotel Indigo Belgrade will be introduced in Europe late this September and Intercontinental Barcelona will be opened this October in Europe. Six Senses Rome will open in late 2021, Hotel Indigo Cagnes-Sur-Mer, France will open in late September, Intercontinental Rome Ambascatiori Palace is set to open in late spring 2022.

Expanding its territory in the Middle East and Africa, IHG Hotels and Resorts will open InterContinental Luanda Miramar in October 2021 making its debut in Angola as the first internationally branded five-star hotel. InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa will welcome guests to Ras Al Khaimah, the UAE's northernmost Emirate, the coming winter. InterContinental Durrat Al Riyadh Resort & Spa, cradled within the distinguished neighbourhood of Banban, Riyadh, will open in early 2022.

IHG has also decided to open few properties in Asia. Regent Phu Quoc will open early next year whereas, Kimpton Kitalay Samui, one of the first two resorts to open under Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, in South East Asia alongside Kimpton Naranta Bali, will open in December 2021. InterContinental Grand Ho Tram, will be introduced in late 2021. Capturing the true spirit of the neighbourhood where East meets West, Hotel Indigo Karuizawa, along with Hotel Indigo Inuyama Urakuen Garden, will open in 2022. In Australia, IHG Hotels and Resorts will open InterContinental Sorrento Mornington Peninsula (formerly Hotel Continental), in March 2022 and Kimpton Sydney will open this November.

In Greater China, InterContinental Hangzhou Liangzhu will open in October 2021. InterContinental Kaohsiung, Taiwan, will open in November 2021. InterContinental Chongli, located alongside Chongli Taizicheng Railway terminal, will open in January 2022.
