Hyatt Hosts the Fourth Edition of Hyatt Culinary Challenge

Hyatt Hotels in India hosted the fourth season of the ‘Hyatt Culinary Challenge-people cooking for people’ during the last weekend of October across 13 cities.

Hyatt Culinary Challenge was conceptualized as a unique event that will bring together individuals from the corporate realm on a common platform where they could showcase their culinary expertise and passion for food in an interactive culinary event. Each participant was paired with a child participant from partner NGOs to create a participant choice recipe to be adjudged by a panel of distinguished judges from the culinary sphere.

Speaking on the occasion, Harleen Mehta, VP, Sales Operations, Hyatt India said,“Hyatt hotels around the world are recognized for their innovation, creativity and strong focus on Food and Beverage. The objective behind running the Hyatt Culinary Challenge was to give a wider audience across India the opportunity to engage with Hyatt as a brand by participating in ‘people cooking for people’. The overwhelming response that we have witnessed across the cities, over the past years, has been truly encouraging and we look forward to another wonderful edition.”

The preliminary winners at each city were awarded a stay at Hyatt Regency Lucknow or Hyatt Place Rameswaram and the winner has been invited to participate in the Grand Finale at Hyatt Regency Chennai on December 02, 2017. The winner from the finale will win a family holiday at Park Hyatt Bangkok and the runner up at Grand Hyatt Kochi (opening soon).

At Andaz Delhi the participants created a myriad of family style recipes ranging from traditional Indian recipes like Gilouti kebabs to Italian pasta dish. It was truly an indulgent experience and Shri Pillay, First Secretary Political from South African High Commission, who prepared ‘A Duck in Autumn’ recipe was adjudged winner and will represent Delhi in the finale.

Speaking on the occasion the Heddo Siebs, General Manager, Andaz Delhi said, “We are delighted to host the 4th edition of Hyatt Culinary Challenge – Delhi prelims, that allows the corporate world to showcase their cooking skills over a fun session adjudged by the industry experts. Since Andaz is all about immersing yourself in the local culture, during the event this year, the gathered guests even had the chance to experience our Delhi Hero Experiences, directly inspired by our book – ‘401 Reasons to fall in love with Delhi’. Open immersive pop-up counters on calligraphy by Qamar Dagar and Delhi Street Art by Yogesh and team were few of the immersive elements added by Andaz this year.”
