High-Tea Ritual at Taj Diplomatic Enclave, New Delhi

INDIAN HOTELS Company Limited (IHCL) has recently grouped all its hotels under a single branded house identity called Taj Hotels Palaces Resorts Safaris. For Taj Hotels the distinct experiences have been identified as in-room check-ins, lobbies designed as cozy living rooms, 24/7 services including breakfast, fitness centres, and spas.

Under this restructuring, the rebranded Taj Palace New Delhi as Taj Diplomatic Enclave, New Delhi has brought in the renovated rooms, suites and the lobby area.

Based on the philosophy of Tajness, the hotel has also started the high tea ritual at its Capital Kitchen from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm.  BW Hotelier spoke to Nikita Das, Director PR and Marketing, Taj Diplomatic Enclave, New Delhi who took us to the tour of this ritual.

“Tajness in total has six rituals, arrival, high-tea, lighting of the lamp, sleep, wake-up, sensorial and a departure ritual. Among all these rituals to be experienced for free, High-tea ritual is a paid one,” Das told us while sipping the freshly brewed hot tea.

“Food served here is inspired by the taste of Delhi with a mix of hot and cold snacks and the choicest of tea and coffees,” said Das. The short menu comprises of all-time favourite evening snacks such as aalo matar samosa, keema samosa, varqui dal kachori and more.
