CHEF GAURAV Malhotra brings with him fifteen years of culinary experience to Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC). He mastered in culinary art from Sophia Polytechnic College, Mumbai by undergoing a Diploma in Hotel Management. He has travelled far and wide for his love for food and experience, before attaining his new position as an Executive Chef at the joint property.
Having spent the last decade in Mumbai, England and China, Malhotra played a key role with the pre opening teams of flagship properties like Holiday Inn Mumbai and Sofitel Mumbai BKC. A large part of his experience has been influenced by his time in London and Macau, where he had the opportunity to
work with renowned brands like The Kensington Close Hotel & Spa, Center Parcs and Sofitel. He has been with AccorHotels for the last five years.
Playing a key role in Sofitel Macau’s securing HACCP certification, Malhotra has won a Level 2 award in Food Safety & Catering from Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, London. He also secured the Silver Award in the Hotelympia Salon Culinnaire, at The Hospitality Show 2008 in Excel, London. Malhotra won several accolades at The Wessex Salon Culinaire at Hotel & Catering Exhibition in Bournemouth, UK.
Malhotra’s area of expertise is Western Contemporary (French, Mediterranean, Asian) cuisine. Blending his rich experience with the flavours of all the restaurants he has worked at, Malhotra believes that the secret to creating some of the most special recipes with a unique flavor comes from his unique hobby of
experimenting with various ingredients. He believes in using fresh local ingredients for his recipes.
Malhotra believes that his impeccable attention to minute details and hard work has led to his success in the hospitality field. His culinary vision will guide all of the property’s food and beverage.
