Food enthusiasts in Bengaluru are in for a treat with celebrated Chef Auroni Mookerjee bringing his culinary expertise to ZARF, the newly opened Indian-specialty restaurant at Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel for an exclusive two-day pop-up event starting June 8.
Chef Auroni’s journey is as flavourful as his dishes. A former ad man turned culinary maestro, he has made a name for himself with ventures like The Salt House in Kolkata, which quickly became one of the city’s top eateries. Chef Auroni’s passion for food led him to successful stints with Grandma Mookerjee’s Kitchen and The Curry Brothers in Mumbai, and later at the Diva Group in Delhi. He then returned to Kolkata to revitalize the Sienna Store & Café during the pandemic, transforming it into a thriving delivery-focussed business.
Chef Auroni is now bringing his innovative take on regional Indian cuisine to Bangalore. This food pop-up at the hotel promises a unique dining experience, featuring a menu that showcases the rich and diverse flavors of India, crafted with Auroni’s signature flair. The highlight of the menu includes Sukto Martini/Highball, a hearty stew of astringent, root, and bitter vegetables with milk, poppy seeds, and tempered with radhuni seeds and paanch phoron. It also features Jhinge & Kombu Posto, noodles made from ridge gourds and seaweed cooked in a creamy poppy-seed and mustard oil sauce. The menu also offers Daab Chingri, Dal-Tarka and Ruti, classic pati shapta, Misti Doi, and much more!
