FnS: Crafting precision and innovation

Founded by Adish Jain, the brand has carved a unique niche in India’s culinary landscape, combining age-old techniques with a forward-thinking approach to meet the evolving needs of chefs and home cooks alike

In the competitive world of kitchen tools, FnS has emerged as a prominent name, renowned for its premium hollow ware and cutlery products that seamlessly blend traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation. Founded by Adish Jain, the brand has carved a unique niche in India’s culinary landscape, combining age-old techniques with a forward-thinking approach to meet the evolving needs of chefs and home cooks alike.

A visionary beginning
The story of FnS begins with its founder, Adish Jain, whose passion for high-quality kitchen tools led him to establish the brand in 2005. They entered the hospitality space three years later. Jain saw a gap in the market for cutlery that could offer both exceptional quality and aesthetic appeal at an affordable price. Drawing inspiration from his travels and exposure to global culinary trends, he set out to create a line of cutlery that catered to both professional chefs and cooking enthusiasts, emphasising precision, durability and functionality.

From the outset, FnS has been committed to using the finest materials available. The company began with stainless steel, known for its strength and resistance to corrosion and quickly became known for its well-balanced, sharp blades.

“Over the years, FnS has expanded its product range to 3,000-plus products. What sets us apart from competitors is its dedication to handcrafting each piece of cutlery, ensuring that each knife met the highest standards of craftsmanship and performance,” shares Jain.

Trends in Indian cutlery market
The cutlery market in India has undergone significant transformation in recent years, informs Jain, adding that consumers have become increasingly discerning about the quality of the products they use. “FnS has capitalised on this trend by focussing on several key areas that align with modern consumer preferences,” he says.

Sustainability has emerged as one of the leading trends, and FnS is committed to producing eco-friendly and durable products. Another trend gaining momentum in the Indian market is the growing demand for premium products. “As more people embrace cooking as both a hobby and a profession, they seek cutlery that offers superior performance and precision. FnS’s ergonomic designs and top quality cater to this need,” informs Jain.

Hospitality setup
In recent years, FnS has emerged as a trusted brand within the hospitality industry, offering products that meet the high demands of professional chefs and commercial kitchens. The hospitality vertical started operations in 2008. “As the brand grows, we are focussed on expanding its presence in the hospitality sector, both within India and internationally. With India’s hospitality industry witnessing a rise in luxury hotels, fine-dining restaurants and catering services, FnS aims to become the go-to brand for professional kitchens that demand the highest quality cutlery,” shares Jain.

The future of FnS
As FnS looks toward the future, the brand has set its sights on continued growth and innovation. The company is also planning an IPO for February-March 2025.One of the most exciting areas of expansion is international markets. Jain and his team are focussing on expanding FnS’ reach beyond India, though they have presence in Africa and the UAE.
