EaseMyTrip.com has announced the launch of ScanMyTrip.com, the country’s first marketplace to offer travel services on the ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce) Network. This innovative platform aims to empower OTAs (Online Travel Agencies), MSMEs, travel agents, and homestays by enabling them to list their services—flights, hotels, and homestays—on the ONDC network, thus connecting them to a vast digital marketplace.
With this launch, EaseMyTrip has also become the first OTA to both sell and purchase travel services via the ONDC platform. The integration is expected to revolutionise the way businesses in the travel and tourism sector engage with customers. Even smaller service providers will now have the opportunity to access a broader audience, enhancing their ability to compete in the digital landscape.
ScanMyTrip.com aims to simplify the onboarding process, allowing travel businesses to easily connect with potential travellers and leverage the expanding digital infrastructure provided by the ONDC network. Earlier this year, EaseMyTrip solidified its commitment to this digital transformation by signing a Letter of Intent with ONDC during the ‘ONDC Startup Mahotsav.’
Speaking about the new launch, Rikant Pittie, Co-founder of EaseMyTrip, stated, “We are very excited to build India’s first technology that will bring us one step closer to solving fundamental challenges of thousands of travel service providers. By integrating ScanMyTrip.com with ONDC Network, we are ensuring that every travel service provider in the ecosystem, from homestays to MSMEs, has the opportunity to thrive in a competitive digital market. Our goal is to provide access to advanced digital tools for businesses of all sizes, helping them scale and reach new customers."
This new venture marks EaseMyTrip’s dedication to fostering inclusive growth and driving digital innovation in the tourism industry, making it easier for businesses of all sizes to thrive in the e-commerce ecosystem.
“EaseMyTrip joining the ONDC network is a pivotal moment in our mission to build a more inclusive and transparent travel ecosystem.” said Thampy Koshy, MD and CEO, ONDC, “This will not only enhance opportunities for MSMEs and small homestays, it will also help in bringing in an equitable marketplace for all participants and foster healthy competition. This is inline with our mission to streamline and democratise the travel experience and thereby the overall e-commerce for everyone."
