Deepika Arora Gets Innovative CEO Award for Leadership

WYNDHAM HOTEL Group, the world’s largest hotel company with 26 properties in India and a part of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation, is pleased to announce that Deepika Arora, Regional Vice President, Eurasia, Wyndham Hotel Group, has been named as ‘Indian Affairs Innovative Woman CEO of the year 2016’ at the India Leadership Conclave Power Brand Awards 2016 held recently in Mumbai.

Arora was felicitated for her outstanding work and efforts in expanding the Wyndham Hotel Group’s footprint in the region with the Wyndham, Ramada, Days Inn and Howard Johnson brands. Under the leadership of Arora, the Group has also transitioned the regional business offering from a pure franchise model and is preparing to introduce hotel management services to owners across Eurasia.

Receiving the award, Arora, said “It is inspiring to be acknowledged for one’s efforts and humbling to share this recognition with other women achievers from the industry. I am happy to receive the award on behalf of Wyndham Hotel Group and would like to thank my team who has been instrumental in bringing our company to where it is today.”

Arora has grown her team significantly in the last two years to respond to the increasing opportunity in the market.  “Supporting our franchisees and providing them with tools to attract and retain customers is at the top of our list”, she added.  “For example, with over 45 million members worldwide, Wyndham Rewards enables our franchisees to reach both domestic and international travellers alike.”

“This award is a powerful recognition for Deepika’s outstanding work in this strategically important region”, said Dan Ruff, President and Managing Director, EMEA, Wyndham Hotel Group.  “With almost 50 more hotels set to open across Eurasia in the next three to five years, Deepika and her team are creating significant momentum for Wyndham Hotel Group.” Having established a strong foothold in India, the Group is focusing its further growth across India but also to neighbouring countries like Pakistan, the Maldives, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Recently Wyndham Hotel Group unveiled its vision for a strategic transformation of its 16 iconic brands, aimed at elevating travel experiences for millennials and the diverse middle class. There are plans to augment growth in the region with the introduction of one of the Group’s youngest and fastest growing brands, ‘Wyndham Garden’, which offers a refreshingly laid back customer experience.
