Commitment to sustainable practices at Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Nashik

Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Nashik is dedicated to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050 through innovative sustainability initiatives. General Manager Jatish Ghai emphasised the significance of these efforts, stating, “At Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Nashik, our journey towards Net Zero is not just about reducing emissions but creating a legacy of sustainability that benefits the environment, society, and economy.”

He further added, "Embracing evolution and innovation, we go beyond traditional environmental initiatives. We continually discover new methods to achieve carbon neutrality, benefiting not only our hotel but also the surrounding community and our employees. We ensure staff accommodations are within 500 meters of the hotel, encouraging most of our employees to walk to work. Additionally, we educate our guests through various means and incorporate different sustainability initiatives into our services."

Renewable Energy
The hotel aims for 50 per cent of its energy to come from renewable sources, employing energy-efficient practices like using LED lighting and maximising natural light in building design.

Carbon Neutral Events
All meetings at Radisson properties are carbon neutral, with offset measures for their carbon footprints, collectively offsetting 38,300 tons of CO₂ since the programme's launch.

Electric Fleet
The hotel has transitioned its vehicle fleet to electric, providing charging stations to promote electric vehicle use among guests.

In-Room Energy Control
Unique occupancy sensors in guest rooms automatically regulate power usage, resulting in significant monthly electricity savings.

Community Engagement
The hotel actively educates guests and local residents about sustainability, hosting sessions and clean-up drives while distributing reusable bags to reduce plastic waste

Water Conservation
A water treatment plant recycles water for irrigation while composting efforts convert food waste into usable compost.

The hotel follows recognised sustainability standards, receiving certifications for environmental management and partnering with Fourth Partner Energy Pvt Ltd for renewable energy solutions. It was also recognised as the Global Winner for MOVE to Net Zero by Radisson Hotel Group in 2024.
