Catering to the Cruise Holiday Requirements of Indian Travelers

Cruisemeout.com is planning to expand their operations virtually in United Kingdom, Singapore and United Arab Emirates. Additionally, it will also be starting an exclusive section, called ‘Cruise Events’ that would manage various events such as weddings, big birthday parties and other events all on a cruise.

To cater to the cruise holiday requirements of Indian travelers, Samit Ajgaonkar, Founder and MD, Cruisemeout.com along with partners Gaurav Sahu and Sandeep Kohli formed an online cruise travel portal called Cruisemeout.com started by Dream Getaways Pvt. Ltd. a holiday partner company formed in April 2017.

According to Ajgaonkar the whole idea behind the portal was to make the customers' cruise experiences convenient and ease the process for the majority of Indians who are new to cruise holidays.

“A cruise ship holiday is never the first thing you will find on an Indian traveler’s list; simply because it is perceived to be an expensive proposition and only an optimum option for a long vacation. At cruisemeout.com we specialize in cruise packages and aim to be a one-stop shop for all Indian as well as international cruise travelers,” said Ajgaonkar.

Ajgaonkar believes that in India it is important for people to know where to invest, “This can only be achieved if as a business we succeed to attain the customer's trust. At Cruisemeout.com, we aim to bridge the gap between a travel agent and cruise travel; we source for information all year, even without receiving a query beforehand just to be ready and make a great first impression over a customer,” he said.

Speaking about the USP of cruisemeout.com Ajgaonkar said “We provide our customers with the first impression of hospitality experience that they could get on the ship. When we receive a booking query, we instantly get in touch with the traveller and inquire about their preferences. Being prompt and efficient in this manner puts us and the cruise holiday industry in a positive picture.”

Ajgaonkar feels that although Indians do travel a lot on cruises, India has not seen many cruise travel routes yet. “Cruisemeout.com is associated with Costa Cruises to sell the itineraries of the cruise from Mumbai to Maldives beginning November 2017. The response has been phenomenal, as it is not an expensive proposition really. Since people are not aware about this fact, the hype of a cruise vacation too big, but with the Indian government boosting cruise tourism in India, this should change soon,” he said.
