Angsana Oasis Spa & Resort, Bengaluru, has appointed Rahul Istwal as its new Executive Chef. With over 15 years of experience in the culinary arts, Chef Rahul is set to bring his innovative approach and culinary expertise to the resort's kitchen.

Chef Rahul's career is decorated with accolades, including the Premium Dining Segment Award in 2023 and the Service Excellence of the Department Award for outstanding performance from Marigold Hotel in 2013–2014. His work has been widely recognised from the success of Dum Biryani at Café Coffee Day in 2015 to being named Best Performer at The Serai, Chikmagalur.

On his appointment, General Manager Ashley James stated, "We are thrilled to have Chef Rahul on board. His innovative approach to menu planning, guest interaction, and effective cost-control strategies is precisely what we need. We look forward to the unique skills and insights he brings to our team."

Chef Rahul's culinary journey includes significant roles at Oakwood Premier Prestige Bangalore, Harsha The Fern in Shivamogga, Oakwood Residence Naylor Road in Pune, Le Meridien Paro Riverfront in Bhutan, and Lemon Tree Hotel in Hyderabad. His expertise in Indian cuisines, food styling, and recipe standardisation, along with his ability to lead and inspire teams, has made him a respected name in the industry.

Chef Rahul expressed his enthusiasm about joining the resort, stating, “I am excited to be part of Angsana Oasis Spa & Resort. I look forward to maximising kitchen revenue and enhancing guest satisfaction. My focus will be on guest engagement, social media presence, and conducting food festivals to create memorable culinary experiences.”
