Rooms at the property are divided into Superior, Deluxe and Business Class rooms. “This division is done in a way that the Superior Rooms, below the lobby, have no view but have bathtubs. The Deluxe Rooms have a pool or garden view and the Business Class rooms have a lake view,” explains General Manager Piyush Kapoor as he accompanies me on a tour of the property. When it comes to suites, Radisson Blu Palace Resort & Spa allows guests to choose from Deluxe Suites, Heritage Suites, Premium Suites and Presidential Suites.
Each accommodation is a sanctuary in itself, boasting a harmonious blend of modern taste and Rajasthani aesthetics. The rooms are meticulously furnished with plush beds, cosy sitting areas and private balconies or terraces that provide breathtaking views. Some of the specialties include Paneer Tikka - regular as well as the Kandhari variety with khoya inside, Crispy Chilli Paneer, Dal Makhani, Kadhai Paneer Gatte Ki Sabzi and Dal-Baati-Churma.
The Broccoli Almond Soup is heavenly and if one has to choose a mocktails, Rejuvenation containing banana, kiwi, orange juice and mango, is the way to go. When it comes to desserts, guests have much to choose from, but the Kulfi with Sitaphal Rabri is a real treat. The flavours of the entire spread are exquisite and the presentation is artful. The cherry on cake is the attentive staff ensuring a seamless dining experience.
Relaxation beyond belief
The resort offers an array of facilities and activities to cater to every guest’s desires. The spa offers a sanctuary for relaxation and rejuvenation. Guests can indulge in a variety of treatments and therapies that are expertly designed to soothe the mind, body and soul. For fitness enthusiasts, the small yet well-equipped fitness centre provides a perfect space to maintain their workout routines. “Most guests come to the resort either to relax or as part of wedding parties so they usually do not want to work out. However, we did receive a few queries and therefore, have this facility set up for the small number of guests that do wish to stick to their fitness routine,” explains Kapoor.
The swimming pool has two parts: one for adults and a shallower one above the poolside bar for young ones. A library and souvenir shop add variety to the resort, making it a mini-world in itself, but what sets it further apart is the puppet and folk dance show held every evening and provision for activities such as Yoga in the morning, archery as well as camel rides, if a guest so desires to indulge in them.
