Air India has been named Asia’s Leading Airline for Inflight Entertainment 2024 at the World Travel Awards (WTA) held in Manila. This marks the first time an Indian airline has won this prestigious title, further solidifying Air India’s position on the global stage.
The WTA acknowledges excellence across the global travel and tourism sectors. In its 31st edition, Air India was recognised for its best inflight entertainment (IFE) offering available on its Airbus A350s, currently serving the Delhi-Heathrow route and set to expand to New York (JFK) in November.
"This award is a testimony of Air India’s commitment to providing our customers with the best inflight entertainment experience. It reaffirms our commitment to the ongoing transformation of Air India into a world-class airline,” said Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience Officer, Air India.
Air India’s award-winning IFE features over 3,000 hours of content, including 1,400 hours of movies, 850 hours of TV, and 1,000 hours of audio, catering to diverse tastes. This state-of-the-art entertainment system will also be available on the airline’s upcoming 64 new widebody aircraft and retrofitted older models, ensuring passengers enjoy a world-class experience.
