WELCOMHERITAGE HAS launched another property under its “Heritage Hotel” category in the city of lakes “Nainital”. This becomes its 35th operational property of over 40 Alliances spanning across 15 states. In November 2017, WelcomHeritage announced the launch of its property in Amritsar named “Ranjit Vilas”, which is the first farm stay property of the group.
Ashdale is an old Manor house from the British Era, built by the English as their summer residence is now owned by the Royalty of Sahaspur. This heritage building, which is now converted into a hotel, is a unique property, nestled amidst the green oaks and deodars and the kidney-shaped lake which reflects the green from the deeply forested slopes of Nainital. What makes this property more unique is tranquillity and serenity of the surroundings and old-world charm which is still untouched. Like every WelcomHeritage property, Ashdale has also been a true reflection of Indian culture.
This nineteenth-century bungalow has been renovated and refurbished to high standards and converted to a boutique hotel. It has 24 meticulously designed guest rooms with Balconies and verandas, overlooking the greenery. The galleries adorn pictures full of history and the furniture stand to tell a story of a gracious lifestyle, not yet gone by.
The property also has a Multi Cuisine Restaurant - Green Oak, serving Indian, Continental and Chinese cuisines.
On request the hotel can arrange a Nature walk up to Dorothy Seat, Cheena Peak and Snow View, picnic option to Bhimtal, Saat Tal, Naukuchia Tal and many other beautiful locations, not far from Nainital. One can also opt for horse riding or sailing on the tranquil lake.
WelcomHeritage is going to expand its horizons towards South and Northeast India. The brand which already has hotels in Sikkim and Tamil Nadu is also looking for new properties to strengthen the presence in these regions of the country. It will be flagging two Nature Resorts, one in Tadoba, Maharashtra, and the other in Coorg, Karnataka. Both these properties are in the advanced stages of the project and will be launched within this financial year.
Talking about the expansion plan, Sunil Gupta, CEO, WelcomHeritage shared, “There is a lot of potential in South and North East. WelcomHeritage is known for its best heritage properties and by further expanding to these regions, we will be bringing the values and rich hospitality of these regions on a global platform. We have already identified properties and are in discussion with the properties owners. Very soon we will be making announcements of new properties on the Board”.
In 2017, WelcomHeritage registered a growth of 18 percent over the last year. They are also expecting a double-digit growth in 2018 as well.
