Technology is the platform for three key deliverables: Customer Experience, Aesthetics without compromise on functionality and Sustainability: Gaurav Malhotra

The first show of "Design Innovation to Conservation" WeBBlast Series titled ‘Shower with All Senses’ began with a stellar lineup of panelists. The session for day one was moderated by Siddharth Barua, Country Director – India, WATG London. Participating at the event was Gaurav Malhotra, MD India, and Regional Key Accounts Asia, Hansgrohe.

Answering the question what are some of the key technological elements that are a must for the installations in India, Gaurav said, “Technology is basically a platform and the key is that the underlying platform is used to take care of the fundamental needs of any client and hence of any installation.”

Speaking on the three basic principles which Guarav Malhotra believes must be followed for every installation in the country, he added, “The first one is consumer experience. Since the designs and the products are being made for the consumer. Every customer has his own needs, one would want a soft and relaxing shower, the other would like a pulsating one. So, the technology behind this should be able to deliver this experience not just in terms of water delivery but also the ability to change from one spray mode to another.”

“The second most important element is aesthetics but without compromising on the functionality. The last most important bit would be on sustainability. Irrespective of how much aesthetic and ease of functionality you are providing but if it’s not sustainable then that can be a challenge.” He further said.

Responding to moderator Barua’s question on sustainability and why one should partner with Hansgrohe, Gaurav said, “I think for me personally it is about sustainable use of water and at the same time consumer experience. The hospitality segment is a beautiful amalgamation of several requirements which are unique like design, culture, functionality and yet they must be put in a standardised guideline. At the same time from a manufacturer’s perspective, the ability to service all of these around.”

Guarav Malhotra said that Hansgrohe is a global brand with presence all over the world and the ability to service the diverse requirements all across the globe. From a consumer’s perspective it is recognised as a premium and luxury brand. He also said that the Hansgrohe designers are working both from the design side as well as the material side which would impact the overall experience.

“I think all these points as well as Hansgrohe’s inherent green logo which means we are inherently committed to sustainability make Hansgrohe the right partner,” concluded Gaurav.
