Sushma Khichar appointed General Manager of Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel
The Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway has announced the appointment of Sushma Khichar as the general manager. With over 18 years of experience in the service industry, Khichar brings leadership and expertise to her role.
She has played a significant role in driving revenues and optimising support functions throughout her career. She started her journey with Marriott International in 2006 and has demonstrated decision-making skills in senior management roles.
Khichar, holding a Diploma in Travel & Tourism and a B.Sc. from the University of Rajasthan, began her career as a front office assistant at The Oberoi, Mumbai. She has worked with various hotels, including Aloft Bengaluru Cessna Business Park, Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield, JW Marriott Mussoorie, JW Marriott Chandigarh, Courtyard by Marriott, Mumbai, and The Renaissance Mumbai Hotel & Convention Centre, Mumbai.
Before her current role as General Manager at the Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel, Khichar served as the Cluster General Manager at Courtyard and Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru Outer Ring Road.
Khichar's leadership qualities, technical acumen, and motivation to deliver results have earned her recognition. Her expertise includes strategic business planning, P&L management, guest relationship building, pre-opening operations, and team building.
Throughout her career, Khichar has received awards, including the General Manager of the Year Award for Spirit to Serve Our Guests APEC 2020 from Marriott International.
