Sanjay Sethi Awarded 'Best Professional – Hospitality' by PATWA Awards

THE INTERNATIONAL Council of Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA) has honored Sanjay Sethi, MD & CEO of Chalet Hotels Limited, with the ‘Best Professional – Hospitality’ title. The PATWA International Travel Awards have earned a reputation as one of the most coveted and sought-after awards of the travel trade over the last 18 years; and honors professionals who make an invaluable contribution in the tourism and hospitality industry.

Sethi was selected by a jury comprising PATWA members, officials and mystery travelers, who judged the shortlisted names that met the necessary criteria. The nominees were evaluated on various pre-set standards with an extensive audit.

An IHM Pusa Alumni, Sethi leads the hospitality business at Chalet Hotels Ltd., which he successfully listed on the Indian bourses in February 2019. He spearheads a strong portfolio of upscale and luxury hotels across key markets in India. Sethi has, over his 3-decade career worked on some prominent brands like The Taj Group and worn the entrepreneur hat with the Berggruen Hotels Ltd. building its brand of Keys Hotels and Resorts.

Speaking on the award, Sanjay Sethi said, “I feel honored to receive this award and thank the jury and the entire team at PATWA. Some other notable achievements of Sethi include being elected to the Executive Committee of the Hotel Association of India (HAI). He is also on the Real Estate Committee of FICCI working with the team towards formulation of industry impacting policies. Sethi is also a special invitee to the Executive Committee of Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI).
