Renaissance Hotels Marks its Entry in Ahmedabad

Part of Marriott International, Renaissance Hotels,  announced the opening of the Renaissance Ahmedabad Hotel in the Heritage City of Ahmedabad. The opening is the brand's latest addition to the iconic Renaissance Hotels portfolio in India, with two other properties in Mumbai and Lucknow.

The Renaissance Ahmedabad Hotel features a contemporary design juxtaposed against the heritage background of Ahmedabad. Designed with refined sophistication and exuberant fun, Renaissance Ahmedabad Hotel has 155 elegant and contemporary rooms with 6 suites, 62 twin rooms, 87 king rooms and 24 inter-connecting rooms, all thoughtfully designed to tell a story. Renowned Studio IV Designs from Delhi were hired to give the hotel it’s unique, distinctive look and feel. The design language is inspired by the vibrant culture of the city of Ahmedabad.  The illuminated hexagonal ceiling installation at the reception is an artistic representation of the kite flying festival of ‘Uttarayan’, during which millions of colourful kites dot the sky of Ahmedabad. A wall in the lobby area is clad with aesthetic metal lattice work (Jaali) as an abstract expression of the Gujarat map that seeks to inspire the guests to discover the state and its culture.

Culinary outlets at the hotel include R Kitchen, the all-day dining restaurant serving cuisines from across the world; Asian Affair, the Japanese and Chinese specialty restaurant; andMill & Co., the 24 hour coffee shop that specializes in freshly baked pastries, sandwiches, cakes and brewed coffees. Leisure facilities at the hotel  include a well-equipped fitness center, a rooftop open-air swimming pool and a Jacuzzi.
