Puneet Chhatwal has been re-elected as the Chairman of FAITH (Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism and Hospitality) for the 2024-2026 term. The elections, held at Ginger Hotel in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, saw candidates elected unopposed. Alongside Chhatwal, Ajeet Bajaj and Ajay Prakash were elected as Vice Chairmen, Rajiv Mehra as General Secretary, and Kanwarjit Singh Sawhney as Treasurer. Returning officer Homa Mistry announced the results.
Speaking post the election, General Secretary Rajiv Mehra said, “ On behalf of all the elected Office Bearers, assure to work cohesively for the benefit of the tourism and hospitality industry and fulfil the dreams of Honourable Prime Minister and achieve the targets set by the Hon’ble Prime Minister. Tourism and Hospitality have huge potential in terms of employment generation and contributing to the economy of the country and it would be our endeavour to fulfil this potential.”
FAITH represents the collective voice of India's tourism and hospitality sector, bringing together 10 national associations: ADTOI, ATOAI, FHRAI, HAI, IATO, ICPB, IHHA, ITTA, TAAI, TAFI, and its cause partner, AIRDA. The organisation aims to foster growth across the industry by uniting stakeholders under a shared vision for development and advancement.
Established to drive cohesive policy initiatives, FAITH works towards strengthening India's position as a global tourism destination while addressing industry challenges. With the newly elected leadership in place, the federation is expected to continue its efforts to propel the tourism, travel, and hospitality sectors towards sustainable growth.
