The forests of the Mussoorie Hills in the Himalayas recently hosted the first-ever ‘Prakriti Ki Aarti’, a unique musical tribute to nature, as part of the Aaroha Spiritual Musical Wellness Retreat. Held at the Punarnava Wellness Resort in Dehradun, this event combined music, spirituality, and wellness in a celebration of nature’s tranquillity.
Speaking about the retreat, Bani Sharma, Project Head said, “The Aaroha Spiritual Musical Wellness Retreat was designed to celebrate music, spirituality, and the beauty of nature. The Prakriti Ki Aarti was a truly magical moment and watching everyone come together in celebration was the perfect way to conclude this journey.”
Led by Vaishnavacharya Jai Jai Sri Abhishek Goswami Maharaj, the retreat featured renowned artists, including Padmashri recipient and Marwari folk maestro Ustad Anwar Khan Manganiyar, Grammy-nominated flutist and composer Pt Ajay Prasanna, and Hindustani classical vocalist Meeta Pandit, a leading exponent of the Gwalior Gharana. Their performances created a soulful confluence of classical and Sufi music amidst the lush Himalayan backdrop.
The retreat began with a spiritual invocation by Sri Abhishek Goswami Maharaj, followed by performances like ‘Thumri’ in the Hills' by Meeta Pandit and Manganiyar Magic by Ustad Anwar Khan Manganiyar. Supported by key sponsors and media partners, this event offered a transformative experience for mind, body, and soul, redefining wellness amidst nature.
“It was from the Himalayas that Lord Hanuman brought the “Sanjivani buti”. This range is known for its rich flora and fauna, therefore what better place than here to offer our prayers to mother Nature” continued Sri Abhishek Goswami Maharaj.
