Nicholas Dumbell Appointed GM of Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel

NICHOLAS DUMBELL has been appointed General Manager of Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel & Lakeside Chalet -Marriott Executive Apartments. Dumbell holds over 16 years of leadership experience with the Marriott brand and has worked with prestigious brands under the Marriott portfolio such as Bengaluru Whitefield Marriott, Renaissance Kiev, Breadsall Priory Marriott Hotel and Country Club.

At Renaissance Mumbai, he will be spearheading the management of the hotel from operations to guiding the overall management. Over the years, he has gained a reputation for using his creative flare to increase customer satisfaction and staff engagement at award-winning levels. He will focus on introducing innovative and contemporary ideas to complement the success of Renaissance in its 15 years of operation.

He joins Renaissance Mumbai from Bengaluru Whitefield Marriott where he served as General Manager since 2014. During his previous stint, he was awarded the ‘General Manager of the year 2016’ title by Marriott International, Asia Pacific. Previously, he was closely involved in the conceptual development and design of the Renaissance Kiev Hotel and also led Breadsall Priory Marriott Hotel and Country Club, a 13th century English country resort with two golf courses and a high level of leisure and group business.

A true multi-cultural global citizen born in Brunei to Mauritian and British parents, Nick grew-up as an expat in five different Asian countries, attended secondary school in the UK and completed his higher education with a bachelor degree at the Cornell Hotel School in the USA.

Dumbell is an active speaker and columnist and one of his favourite subjects is the exploration of innovative ways that hospitality brands can embrace to ensure complete satisfaction of the next generation of millennial guests and associates.
