Namit Vijh Appointed Director of Rooms at Courtyard by Marriott, Gurgaon

COURTYARD BY Marriott, Gurgaon has appointed Namit Vijh as the new Director of Rooms for the hotel. Vijh will be responsible for the overall functioning of the rooms division and will spearhead various functions like front office, housekeeping, reservations and guest service. He joins the hotel from Courtyard by Marriott, Mumbai, where he was appointed as Director of Rooms. ’I am really looking forward to my new role as the Director of Rooms at Courtyard by Marriott, Gurgaon. I hope that I am able to add value with all my knowledge and skills to enhance guest experience and increase room revenue,’ said Vijh. Commenting on the appointment, Kanika Hasrat, General Manager, said, ’Namit Vijh comes with an extensive experience in decision making, guest services and overall support functions which I am sure will help him to apply his skills to innovate and improvise our guest services scores and lead a high-achieving team.’ Vijh holds a degree from Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management, Catering & Nutrition Chandigarh and began his career with Taj Hotel Chandigarh and has worked with reputed hotels such as The Oberoi New Delhi, The Imperial New Delhi, Hyatt Regency New Delhi, The Leela Palace, New Delhi at Chanakyapuri, JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu and Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai. He is extremely passionate and enthusiastic about his job. His willingness to learn and strong customer relationship is a quality that is emulated by his team.
