LEMON TREE Hotels reacted to the controversy a few days ago surrounding a poster which was hung at its Bangalore property.
According to a report in Indian Express online: “A Facebook user, shared a picture of a flyer displayed in the bathroom wall of a Lemon Tree Hotel in Bengaluru, that was meant to tickle the funny bone. The flyer, which carries the logo of the hotel, however, led to a social media furore.”
The hotel chain issued a statement late last evening which came from the office of Aradhana Lal, Vice President, Sustainability Initiatives, The Lemon Tree Hotel Company and states:
“This has reference to Tuesday’s social media conversations regarding a poster at one of our hotels. Lemon Tree Hotels apologizes for having offended anyone with this item. While we have already removed the poster in reference, we have initiated the process of reviewing our collateral across our hotels in order to remove anything that could be viewed as inappropriate.”
