La Piazza, Hyatt Regency Delhi celebrates three decades of excellence

The restaurant is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a special Nostalgia Menu, honouring the over the years

Since opening its doors in 1994, La Piazza has remained one of the city’s premier Italian restaurants. With its rustic, warm atmosphere, the restaurant transports guests to the heart of Italy, offering an authentic dining experience.

As one of the first Italian restaurants in New Delhi, La Piazza has revolutionised the capital’s culinary scene by introducing the live kitchen concept. A visionary in farm-to-table dining, the restaurant embraced the concept nearly 25 years before it became a global trend, using premium ingredients sourced directly from its own farm. La Piazza also served India’s first espresso in 1994 and introduced the iconic tiramisu to its discerning clientele.

Signature dishes like the Pizza La Piazza, with its perfect balance of flavours, and the Ravioli have garnered widespread acclaim. The luscious Tiramisu, a symphony of bittersweet notes and traditional Italian espresso, perfectly rounds off the dining experience.

For wine connoisseurs, La Piazza has remained committed to authenticity over the past 30 years, becoming one of the pioneers in importing Italian products and wines. These wines are carefully curated to complement the restaurant’s dishes. Sourced from renowned vineyards around the world, La Piazza’s wine selection highlights the unique characteristics of each grape variety, terroir, and the winemaker’s craft, enhancing every meal.

To mark its 30th anniversary, La Piazza is celebrating with a special Nostalgia Menu, honouring the dishes that have delighted diners over the years. This menu is designed to evoke fond memories while creating new ones, bringing back some of the most beloved flavours from the past three decades.

Guests can indulge in classics like Pumpkin Panna Cotta (2007) and Grilled Garlic Prawn Salad (2008), while soups such as Tomato and Bread Soup (2009) and Messines-style Lentil Soup (2024) add warmth. Pasta favourites like Mozzarella and Eggplant Ravioli (2004) and Green Peas Risotto (2009) showcase La Piazza’s expertise. Main courses include Chicken Cannelloni (2010) and Pan-seared Lamb Tenderloin (2016), along with vegetarian and seafood options like Parcel of Grilled Vegetables (2012) and Tuna Fillet with Grape Sauce (2009). Desserts like Fried Cannoli (2018) and Sicilian Cassata (2024) offer a sweet finish.

Speaking on the milestone, Daniel Dolatre, General Manager, stated, "For 30 years, La Piazza has prided itself on delivering the finest Italian cuisine, and always having an authentic Italian Chef at its helm, contributing to an unparalleled dining experience. Our patrons have shown us incredible loyalty over the decades, and we believe this is because we've stayed true to our core values: exceptional service, innovative, ever-changing menus using only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients, and a welcoming atmosphere."

Chef Fabrizio Berretta, La Piazza’s Head Chef, added, "It is a privilege to be part of a restaurant with such a rich history of bringing the flavours of Italy to your table. Every dish we create reflects our dedication to authentic cuisine and quality. I am deeply grateful to our patrons for making La Piazza a cherished destination, and I eagerly anticipate continuing our tradition of excellence."
