Kaam.com launches its first ever staffing and employment mobile application

The hospitality sector has witnessed an unprecedented demand and is facing over 60 per cent demand-supply gap in workforce. The high demand in the unorganised sector is often met by untrained but experienced staff and to address this pain point, an industry-backed staffing and employment platform, Kaam.com is, for the hospitality sector has been co-built with the pioneers of the industry. Kaam.com's blockchain-powered employee profiles provide authenticated employment and certification history. This is the first time an OnDemand solution has been created with a massive bench of talent to address the seasonal demand that the industry faces.

The platform offers a holistic approach by offering access to employment opportunities as well as skilling, training and financial inclusion. Kaam.com is backed by NRAI (National Restaurant Association of India) and is spearheaded by entrepreneurs Rishi Khiani and Agnelo Miranda.

“The support that NRAI has given over the last couple of months has been tremendous. We have worked closely with the Mumbai Chapter Heads to understand the nuances of the industry and find solutions that cater to all aspects of the business. While we have taken a vertical approach, we do cater to both blue collar and white-collar jobs. The job seeking application is what we have launched today. We will be expanding this ecosystem with multiple elements such as employee benefits, insurance and other conveniences and discounts in the near future,” shared Khiani.

“Effective hiring has always been a challenge for the hospitality industry. Around 80% of India's hospitality workforce is migratory and nationwide job discovery has been difficult for job seekers. To address this, the NRAI has partnered with Kaam.com which provides 360-degree skilling and benefits platform by hospitality for hospitality. Now more than ever do we need a platform like Kaam.com,” said Founder & CEO of The Chocolate Spoon Company and NRAI Co-Chapter Head of Mumbai Rachel Goenka. The primary Kaam App is now live and available on all android devices in the Google Play Store with a web version coming soon.
