JW Marriott Pune Appoints Namit Kharbanda as their Director of Human Resources
JW MARRIOTT Pune has further added to its dedicated and experienced team with the appointment of Namit Kharbanda as Director of Human Resources. With over a decade of well-rounded experience in Human Resource Management, Namit will actively formulate innovative HR initiatives and ensure effective and professional communication at all levels within the organization.
A creative thinker with strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills, Namit effectively balances the needs of his colleagues with the mission of the organization. In his new role at JW Marriott Hotel Pune, he will head all HR related operations, such as recruitment, talent development policies, administration, compliance and management while also ensuring alignment with long-term business strategies.
Namit joins the hotel from Andaz, Delhi (Hyatt’s lifestyle brand) where, as the Director of Human Resources, he was in charge of HR policies and processes as well as taking care of talent management. He brings his unmatched expertise in the Human Resources function in the hospitality sector, after a long-spanning career in the industry, with prominent brands such as Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Abu Dhabi National Hotels Compass ME LLC and IHG Group among others.
Namit is a Post-Graduate in Human Resources Management and Marketing from Symbiosis University, Pune, and holds a Diploma in Hotel Management from IHM, Chandigarh. He possesses a positive attitude, coupled with a strong work ethic along with a keen desire to learn and grow. Namit’s contributions to the industry were recognized by the World HRD Congress, where he was awarded the ‘101 Top HR Minds’ in the Indian Hotel Industry Segment in 2019.
