IHCL expands with new Gateway resort in the Sangam city
With over 5,000 square feet of banqueting space, the resort is well-suited for both social and corporate events
Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL), has announced the signing of a new resort in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. This project will operate under the Gateway brand and offer 150 rooms, blending modern design with local architectural influences. The new resort is set to become a key attraction for both leisure and business travellers.
The resort aims to cater to diverse tastes, featuring an all-day diner, specialty restaurant, bar, and lounge. Amenities include a state-of-the-art gym, swimming pool, and spa, ensuring a luxurious stay for guests. Additionally, with over 5,000 square feet of banqueting space, the resort is well-suited for both social and corporate events.
Speaking on the occasion, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President - Real Estate & Development, IHCL said, “Prayagraj, with its deep-rooted cultural and religious importance, has been a prominent destination for pilgrims and leisure tourists alike. This signing aligns with our strategy of penetrating emerging markets in Tier II and III cities. We are delighted to partner with Ecao Hospitality Limited for this project.”
Prayagraj, known for hosting the world-famous Kumbh Mela, draws millions of pilgrims globally and has been growing as a business destination, given the presence of the Allahabad High Court and various educational institutions.
