Hyatt Centric Dehradun appoints Ajit Singh Gandhi as General Manager
Hyatt Centric Dehradun has named Ajit Singh Gandhi as its new General Manager. Formerly with The Oberoi Group, Gandhi brings two decades of experience to his new role, having worked with various hotels, including The Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, Taj Hotels & Resorts, Le Meridian, New Delhi, and The Lalit, Goa.
Gandhi, who started his career as a chef at The Lalit, Goa, in 2002, transitioned to various roles, including front desk at Le Meridian, New Delhi. His diverse experience encompasses all aspects of the hospitality industry. Gandhi emphasised his journey from 2005 in sales and marketing, working closely with different departments to understand business nuances and achieve a work-life balance.
In his current position, Gandhi is tasked with boosting hotel sales and enhancing the brand's value, ensuring alignment with Hyatt's strategic goals. Despite the hotel's existing reputation, Gandhi expressed his readiness for the challenge, highlighting Hyatt's exceptional management team.
Commenting on the growing opportunities in Dehradun, Gandhi noted the rising trends in destination weddings and corporate MICE, aligning with PM Modi's recent emphasis on promoting Uttarakhand as a wedding destination. Gandhi aims to provide custom wedding solutions, emphasising a personalised approach. He hopes to deliver a customised and tailor-made wedding solution to stay ahead of the game. “We, at Hyatt Centric, aim to host the wedding in a very customised and personalised manner. Our wedding specialist works closely with the family to deliver the ceremony they want, personalised to their needs, culture, and style, Gandhi said.
