WITH A clear objective towards the development of procurement professionals, HPMF (Hospitality Purchasing Managers' Forum) organised UDAAN 2018 at the Oberoi, New Delhi. The event took place in the presence of HPMF fraternity, who joined together under one roof discussing its further advancement.
Nitin Nagrale, Founder and General Secretary, HMPF on the occasion mentioned about the concept of UDAAN 2018, which is a brainchild of Sanjay Goyal, Vice President, HPMF North chapter. The aim behind UDAAN 2018 is to become socially responsible towards effective training and skill development. With further new added objectives, one of the major goals for HPMF is to expand its portfolio globally. After a successful launch of Middle East chapter, the forum is all set to expand its footprint to Sri Lanka in the month of July 2018 following up with Nepal Chapter.
Nagrale, on the event also focused on the importance of technology in the process of transforming procurement. He mentioned about an interactive website of HPMF which is in the pipeline. “This site will bring everybody in one roof. We have been working on this site for 18 months and we are happy to announce that 90 percent of it has been successfully done,” he added.
“An Informed buyer can change the world, as it ultimately helps the suppliers,” Nagrale feels. For making the procurement forum more strong and insightful, Nagrale stresses upon the need to build a strong base for young procurement students. “We have tied up with AHLEI (American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute) and from this year we will be sponsoring 50 odds procurement students who will do the CHPM course. This course will help them to work anywhere around the world,” Nagrale addressed the delegates.
The chief guest for this gala event was Dr BBL Madhukar, Secretary General of BRICS CCI who wished HPMF with all its success.
