At the property, BW HOTELIER interacted with the General Manager, Nitinn Sharma who leads a bright team. FOOD AND BEVERAGE

The main restaurant space located on the 16th floor that offers a 360 degrees panoramic city view is called Viva and is led by Executive Chef, Rakesh Rana who likes to put forward unique fusion dishes for guests. Serving Asian, Indian and Western cuisine during all three meal periods with both buffet and à la carte offerings, the restaurant is contemporary and modern style with an open kitchen to provide the guest with an interactive dining experience with a unique urban and rejuvenating view.

The bar and lounge area is a perfect ambience to relax and treat yourself to specially prepared delicacies, while enjoying calming music. Whether you want to sit back and relax after a long day of work with the selection of beverages with a fabulous view or with health juices, mocktails, specialty tea and coffee.

While interacting with Rana, he told us about the immunity boosting menu in the current time. “We have introduced a healthy menu of immunity boosters; detox drinks and welcome shots. We have these options available for dine-in as well as home delivery,” he explained.

The hotel has been very active with its food delivery option and also take care of its employees by providing them immunity boosting drinks. One of the other unique beverage that the Chef introduced is ‘Chai’, that is prepared in about 20 minutes following the step by step guide that has been listed by Rana.

Sanitisation and hygiene is of utmost importance currently. We talk to the Executive Housekeeper, Rupali Kaul who explains the property’s sanitisation and cleaning process. She says, “We have a long-standing commitment to rigorous cleaning procedures and launched our IHG Way of Clean program in 2015 – developed in partnership with Ecolab and Diversey – both world leaders in hygiene and cleaning technologies and services. This programme is now being expanded with additional COVID-19 protocols and best practices.”

IHG Way of Clean includes deep cleaning with hospital-grade disinfectants, and guests can expect to see evolved procedures throughout the hotel, which may include:

ADAPTING THE TRENDS

Staycations and work-cations are the current buzzwords that picked the interest of guests around six months ago. We talk to Sharma about his observation on the same lines, and he interestingly told us that just to cater to that segment, the property introduced day-time bookings where guests can work in their respective rooms or come to lounge to work. He further informed, “Weekend staycation is picking up well as the property is very much in the city but still away from the hustle bustle of the city life.”

Talking about the trends, he brought up the wedding segment and enlightened us that in the recent wedding season the property was packed with back to back residential wedding bookings.
