“IN 2017, the Pune market saw a significant growth in average daily rates which will continue to grow in 2018 due to no new inventory being introduced to the city,” says Aditya Shamsher Malla, General Manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Pune-Chinchwad. Considering himself to be the fortunate one to inherit a well-established hotel, that was already leading the market in room and f&b share, Malla spoke to BW Hotelier about his experience with the property so far.
“My immediate focus was to ensure that we stay the course and further consolidate our price positioning. We have actively looked at new customer segments and improved our visibility on OTAs for weekend getaway packages,” said Malla. He believes that the biggest USP for the property is its close proximity to the Mumbai-Pune expressway which helps to get a share of corporate as well as leisure business from cities such as Mumbai, Aurangabad, and Nasik.
To serve the guest with ceaseless f&b experience, the hotel has introduced a variety of engaging food and beverage promotions including a Sufi Themed Night every Friday at our open-air rooftop restaurant Level 12 and a Sunday Brunch at all-day dining restaurant - 3 Spices. “Hilton has a rather dynamic and customer focused approach towards engagement and loyalty. At this property we have been taking various initiatives to widen our target market through a series of events and associations,” Malla added.
Hilton being one of the oldest hospitality companies with several benchmarks in innovation, technology or employee engagement, Malla trusts that with the right product, people and strategies, DoubleTree by Hilton Pune is poised for continued growth.
