Debopriyo Sen Joins Westin Chennai Velachery as DOSM

THE WESTIN Chennai Velachery has appointed Debopriyo Sen as their new Director of Sales & Marketing. With over 11 years of rich experience in the hospitality industry, Sen brings with him profound knowledge and skills in developing growth strategies for brands and implementing them to deliver business results. His last assignment was with the Taj, where he was designated as Director of Sales. He was thereafter selected by the Taj Group of Hotels and this is where he successfully carved a neat career curve for himself by taking on all the challenging assignments that were given to him. This innings wherein he grew from a Assistant Manager to a Director of Sales comprised 11 years of his dedicated service with the flagship hotel company of the Tatas’. At present, Sen is the Director of Sales & Marketing for the Starwood Group’s Westin property in Chennai under the leadership of Shrikant Wakharkar. Sen holds a Bachelors Degree of Science and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (Operations & Marketing). His strength lies in managing people and organizing and implementing plans to deliver business results. He is extremely social (client focused) and has an innate ability to get along with people across hierarchies.
